Because our crowns are made entirely of porcelain, your restoration will look, feel and function just like natural enamel. Get ready to enjoy your new crown in just two appointments:
During your first crown visit, Dr. Tekin will begin by reshaping your tooth, or "preparing" it. He takes a mold of your minimized tooth (and neighboring teeth) in order to give the lab guidelines for the creation of your porcelain crown. Then, a temporary crown is placed on the tooth to keep it functional and looking natural until your next visit.
During your second visit, usually a few weeks later, Dr. Tekin will have your crown ready for permanent placement. Your temporary crown is removed, the new crown is fitted, and the porcelain crown is then cemented firmly into place for a beautiful, natural fit. Dr. Tekin will give you specific instructions on taking good care of your new crown so it lasts for many years.
