You will most likely receive a temporary crown to wear while the new one is being fabricated. During your next appointment, your life-like porcelain crown is placed. Do not worry about the procedure being painful - you are numb for the whole thing, and the dentist will make sure you have a prescription painkiller if you should experience post-treatment discomfort.
