Opalescence uses a 15% carbamide peroxide whitener gel that is applied with a plastic syringe. Thanks to the added ingredients fluoride and potassium nitrate, Opalescence treatment does not result in as many tooth sensitivity issues as some other whitening programs. And because Opalescence is a sticky formula, it does not leak from the tray like other bleaching gels.
